Might be Cheesy....

So Kyle is still in high school as we all know, anyway, prom is this friday. Last weekend when I came home there was a cute wooden craft sitting on my bed with blue ribbon wrapped around it and a safety pin holding a note inside (I'll have to get a picture of it). Kyle wrote me this sweet letter about how each object the craft, the ribbon, the safety pin, and the paper he wrote on represented something in our lives now and our future, I absolutely loved it. It was so sweet and yes, I almost cried but I had a friend with me. So how did I answer him?

While he was taking the ACTs saturday morning, I went to his house and filled his car with fake rose petals and left him a note. It told him that there was a rose at the first place we met with his answer on it, but that he had to first go to my house and ask my mom three yes or no questions about the note and the answer. Then after he asked my mom the questions, we gave him a paper with some stories of my life. He had to read these stories and then at Dee's (which is where we met) I had the clerk ask him questions that referred to each of the stories. However, I added a question for her to ask that I didn't put the story on the paper. When she asked him the question, he had this look on his face that he was so confused. He looked at me then looked back at her, so I started to laugh.

After he finished answering the questions (which he was able to answer all of the questions without even having to re-read any of the stories) she handed him the rose. I figured the standard yes or no is boring so I put a scripture instead. Does anyone remember in the Work and the Glory, when Nathan gives Lydia the scripture and she replies to him with a scripture. Well, I used the scripture she used. It's Ruth 1:16

"...Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee; for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people, and thy God, my God;"

I know it's cheesy but I like it. We always do cheesy things, which hey, lets face is more fun than the same old same old.

What I want to know is if you get a brand new dress for prom and a brand new dress for your wedding? That would be pretty cool!
