Valentine's Day

Since it seems almost everyone else is doing a Valentine's Day post, I thought I'd better. Here we go.

You would think where we're just engaged (well not just we've been engaged for 5 months now) that we'd be all lovey and what not. Well, not exactly. Kyle ordered me roses which were supposed to be yellow and red, but the yellow ones had a greenish tint to them.

On Valentine's Day I went to the chocolate fesitival in Garden City and got him a little gift set thing which had a bottle of that cider stuff (Martinelli's I think, he loves that stuff) and a bunch of little candies and chocolates.

I went to work (and I worked a double). Kyle came in and ate lunch with me, and then I saw him for a little bit when I got a chance to get away for a little while. And then I went back to work. I got to serve all the other couples that were celebrating (but I guess someone has got to do it). That night Jim served King crab and prime rib, and I walked out of there that night with a to go box of crab, and over $300 in tips, so over all it wasn't too bad.

I went to Kyle's house after that and he had the room some what dark and just a few candles on the table. He (with the help of his mother I'm sure) had made cinnamon rolls and had some on a plate and the bottle of cider I bought him and two of his parents wine glasses out on the table. It was goofy but cute. My body was so sore and tired, and my emotions were raw (which is a story all it's own. Let's just say I didn't get along too well with some of the people I had to work with) so I was just happy to be with someone that I knew was going to try to spoil me just a little. Then he gave me a foot massage and we fell asleep.

That was my Valentine's Day. But it was good and I'm excited. To make up for us not being able to do much then, we are going to Beauty and the Beast at another high school. It's at Woodscross I think. I know thats kindof different since it's a high school play, but since neither of us have money to pay to go to a real play, it'll do just fine.

It's fun to have a sweetheart for Valentine's Day, even when it doesn't go idealistically!

Hey, I think that's a totally cute Valentine's Day. I know you had to work, which sucks, but Kyle really put some effort forth to make the time you could be together special. I'm glad you have such a good guy!
