UGH

So I'm just in a downer mood this past month (I know 'get over it' is what I should do) and I have just really been struggling. I don't want to seem all moody and depressing or whatever but I really need some help.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can start to feel more 'up' naturally. I'm probably starting counceling again but I really don't want to be put on anti-depressents again.

I really have no clue why I wrote this. ugh...whatever.

Shanna, my heart hurts for you. We all have times like this in our lives. I know that when I am down one of the best things I can do is find someone else to give service too. And for what it is worth, I don't think there is anything wrong with anti-depressants. Sometimes it's a chemical imbalance, and there's nothing wrong with fixing it and getting off of them. Now I'm just rambling huh?! I'll try to call you later. Love you!!

Sorry you are going through such a rough time Shanna. We really do all have times like that in our lives. I think talking to someone with the counseling is a good idea. I think its important that you realize you are struggling and are looking for help. I have to agree with the comment above me though....service does cheer me up. Is there somewhere you could volunteer to help out....elderly or school children or something like that? You have so much to offer other people. You are an amazing young woman. Keep your chin up and keep plugging along. I'm a good listener if you ever want to unload :)

You don't know me. I somehow found your blog a while back through some adoption blogs, but I don't remember how.

I too am a first mother and just wanted to let you know that I'd be happy to talk or listen or whatever.

I hope you start feeling better soon.

i understand about the anti-depressants. i hate them too. but if it'll help, it wouldn't hurt to try.
another thing that helps me - especially this time of year because its always harder to be up during all this ugly weather - exercise! seriously, join a gym or go to the one of campus and work off your stress. It helps a ton! And another thing - make sure you're eating healthy. Its hard when you're in college b/c money is practically non-existent. But try to eat good, FRESH foods. That'll help too. And take your vitamins!
Then, above all else - PRAY!

Call if you need anything!
